The three most destructive words that every man receives when he was a boy is when he’s told to “Be a Man”. Wearing the mask you live in to hide your emotions is harmful. It’s personally and socially injurious and we avoid emotions because that’s what many traditional ideals of masculinity have socialised us to do.
