A detour but beauty in the end
After numerous fertility treatments, operations, heartache, we kept hoping and believing we will be parents one day. Our hearts' biggest desire. After almost 10 years and 3 failed IVF attempts my husband and I believed that maybe this is God's way of showing us we need to adopt a child. We also felt that our need shifted from having a biological child to any child we can shower with all the love we have to share.
From the first phone call to PROCARE they gave us hope again. They did everything they could to help us go through the process as smooth and quickly as possible. At PROCARE we have learned so much, we feel like we have someone there to guide us and help us or even just to encourage if we feel a little "forgotten" or lost, which we never did, but knowing they were there was peace of mind. We also knew exactly what was expected of us. When we received our "paper pregnant" certificate we felt ready and prepared.
We believe our baby was still being formed, our families and us needed a little more time to process adoption, therefore we first had to take a detour before we got to PROCARE and our journey with them. Now our families and us are overjoyed and can all share our love with our beautiful daughter.
Even though our Infertility and Adoption journey felt like forever as soon as we held our daughter it felt like a distant memory. She is the most beautiful little girl who completes our family perfectly.
The biggest lesson I have learned during this journey is to stop asking, Why me?, rather believe whatever is happening to me is because I am strong enough to deal with it, and with this mindset I kept hoping and believing that one day I will be the happy mother I am now.
